Dogs are the most common animal in Israel, and yet so many dogs are put to death every year. That made me think... How can we help these dogs find a loving and caring home?
​
Dogiz help adopters find their dream dog, with data from all animal shelters and foster homes in Israel.
​
We guide you through the whole process.
Dogiz not only finds your new dog, but continues to be there after the adoption - guiding the new "parents", making sure best acclimate both socially and medically for the new family. Dogiz even help you train the dog at the new home. All these actions, and more, in order to minimize the abandonment rate after adopting.

Among many features, Dogiz can also show you the dog's family history, even brothers and sisters in case you would like them to meet someday.
UNDERSTANDING THE USERS NEEDS
Understanding the user needs and their lifestyle for a perfect match
MARKET RESEARCH
What makes people choose their dog and not return it back?
Checking apps and websites of the competitors at the market to understand how to make the perfect match.
1. There is lack of visual informative information about the dog. We can improve it by:

Using a clear and seductive images and videos.

Detailed information of the dog character and it needs.

Questionnaire that helps make a match.
2. The searching prosses in existing app and sites are unfocused. We must improve by:

Display only of the most suitable and relevant animals for the user.
3. The user does not receive information about the reason for the refusal to adopt from the foster care

To set clear criteria for adoption.
4. Limited view of the animals in the foster care.

I recommend a national database of all animals for adoption in Israel.
5. After adoption, there is no accompaniment beyond adoption day.

II recommend to accompany the post-adoption with a trainer to help solve future problems and make sure there is a good adoption at home.
CONCLUSIONS:
1. Most adoption based on the dog's appearance without understanding its character and whether it fits their character.
2. There is lack of information about the user lifestyle (for example if they are active or not) and it can affect how active the dog will be.
3. There is lack pf information about the life conditions of the user that can affect the dog. Such as: Large house, number of persons who lives in the house, different working hours must be taken into account.
4. There is a lack of information about allergies caused by dogs and hypoallergenic dogs. Knowledge on this can influence the health and budget of the owner.

SELECTED CONCEPT
I choose minimal and clean design so the user's attention will be on the dogs pics and details, that's why the colors are white and grey, so the CTA will be clear to the eye.
In order to get the user emotionally connected with the dogs I used gifs and video to empower the dogs, and make the process easy, light and fun.

The app contains multiple images, most of them are gifs.
gifs in their nature are dynamic but nonetheless they are still basic. This simplifies the design, eases the user's experience and give a pleasant and enjoyable usage.
